Mosh Danon, the chairman”of the Israeli Academy of Film and Television, decided to terminate his operation at the academy immediately, despite the request of the Executive Committee to continue his tenure until the upcoming ceremony in February.
Mosh Danon's announcement:
“We as creators, As producers, And as intellectuals speak much of peace, and the unity and work devoid of interests for culture in Israel, Unfortunately, some have forgotten this and they lead a discourse that produces politicians and polarization inside us..
Sometimes the path to peace is suing us for concessions., Uncompromising, Personal sacrifice and responsibility and leadership requiring a clear and unequivocal position.
My work at the Academy was always done with a clear interest in the community and the public, promoting creators and creativity, especially to bring the academy to be the most professional body that cares about promoting creators and creativity in Israel and abroad.. A place that is far more than just to hold ceremonies twice a year.. My work was done voluntarily, with no personal interest, money or status., On the contrary, My office of production was severely damaged by my absence.. All my decisions have passed the management approval and have not been made one small action that exceeds the allowed.
In order to unleash the political snarl, our foreign interests, which created within the management and from an informed choice to reduce the time span that the academy is at a dead-end created as a result of internal disagreements and hostile intervention by external political parties who also run some of the unions in the industry, Which harms the vision and creates the conduct of the work and the money of the people who are doing the work and party and driving the academy.
I choose to withdraw from my duties to improvise and return the mandate to the Academy's administration today..
